19th century fallow deer trophy from Emperor Franz Josef's castle at Eckartsau in the Southern Austrian Alps, a favourite hunting schloss of the Habsburg Royal family.

This historic hunting trophy features the original black forest carved plaque and an original Veteran's badge medal with ribbon.

Plaque measures 12" H x 9" W.

Antler spread is 29" W x 21.5" D.

Total measurements are 23" H x 29" W x 21.5" D.

Part of The European Hunt collection presented by Laurier Blanc, this collection of antique hunting trophies from Royal & Noble European families has been examined and appraised by James Supp of Coronado Trading Co, who is best known for his work with the PBS production "Antiques Roadshow."  Certificate of Authenticity included.
