The Gucci label has seen a resurgence under Alessandro Michele that is almost historical in its impact on the brand and the label has once again developed a cult like following. Many of the pieces have their roots in the archives of the house and he draws particularly from the sixties and seventies periods of Gucci. There is just something about these late 1960s, early 1970s pieces that seem timeless and fresh yet again. This jacket is a fabulous example of why that is so and it is a true treasure and I doubt it will remain available very long. It is a wonderful suede jacket that combined a black base with neutral suede accents for the collar, at the cuffs and those spectacular front pockets. Each of the top set pockets has a the house's signature pheasants embroidered on the pockets. The collars are long and pointed and the cuffs detailed with buckle straps. If that was not enough the gold toned buttons appear to be little curled u on themselves hunting horns. A lining fully embossed withe the Gucci crests and logo is the perfect finish. Excellent vintage condition
Fully lined in a Gucci embellished lining and closes with the gold buttons as seen. It has an extra button sewn along the interior lining. The lighter suede parts show minor grubbiness. Very slight natural patina under the buttons. In a piece like this - these are all pluses as it adds to its original vintage feel. It is sold in clean, as found condition. This is not meant to be super tight so i feel would work best on a small-medium frame
